Gangsta is a slang term for gangster which is an often used word in relation to mafia. Distinquished between gangster, gangsta is used more commonly in New york city, and better discribes violent criminals and gangsta pride. The word gangsta is a conscientious word to the word pimp (males living the earnings of a prostitute or brothel), and can be used as a noun, or an adjective, as in "this guys gangsta". Types of gangsta fashion includes, heavy jewelry, as in bling-bling, bagie and expensive clothes inspired by rappers.
