In the episode "Litmus" we see a lot of Sargeant at Arms Hadrian. Sargeant does appear to be Hadrian's actual rank, as several people (Tyrol included) call her that. The insgnia she wears is visible several times during her examination of Boomer and Tyrol. It appears to be the same green central element as a Chief Petty Officer (without the black gap in Petty Officer) but without the two sidebars. This might imply that Sargeant is a rank between PO and CPO. Battlestar Wiki says (speculates, really) that she's a PO, and elsewhere gives a more detailed rank table and rank equivalence than our own. How much of this is sourced to Wikipedia standards, I wonder? Are there any other sargeants shown in the series? If BSwiki is correct, that only marines are sargeants, then maybe we've not seen any. You couldn't even spell sergeant right! This page is very inaccurate - especially the rank insignia. Perhaps it would be wise to simply remove this article and put a reference to Battlestarwiki.org?
