[edit] Photographs in applications

I know Cornell used to require headshots, but now they don't require them for any of the colleges, but they're optional for the Hotel School, which is rather bizarre. You can submit an optional essay in applying to any of the colleges if you feel sharing something the application didn't ask for would help your chances of admissions; they're apparently all but admitting that, ceteris paribus, the Hotel School prefers beautiful people. [edit] US-centric?

As far as the UK is concerned, we don't tend to talk about "college" applications over here -- or if we do, it has a different meaning. Our equivalent is university admission, which is partly covered by the UCAS article. Deb 19:40, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

How about moving to Applications for Higher Education or something?

[edit] Graduate School application

This article seems to only focus on undergraduate application at the moment. There should be a grad school section or sections Bwithh 15:17, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note on Wharton

When I visited U-Penn, the admissions officer that I heard talk told a story of how one applicant wrote an entire essay explaining why they wanted to go to "The Wharton School of Bunny" as oppossed to business. I'm worried that the not on Wharton is a subtle reference to that fact and not actually true in its current form, though I am not an expert in the area.
