[edit] Chuck Norris
As far as I know, he's never actually lived within College Station city limits. I know he owns a ranch about half an hour from CS, and presumably it was because of that he was included in the list of notable residents. I'm deleting his name. Dkostic 01:28, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

That picture is photoshopped.

[edit] Sister Cities
College Station does not have sister cities in Germany or Russia —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 204.56.145.162 (talk) 17:18, 8 May 2007 (UTC).
[edit] "Equidistant"
I'm no pedant, but that's not a legitimate use of the word. The distance from CS to Dallas is more than twice that from CS to Houston. Moreover, the distances given in the opening paragraph seem altered for the purpose of fitting this "approximately equidistant" claim. From downtown to downtown - let alone from boundary to boundary - College Station is closer to Houston than the distance listed. A completely different standard has been used to measure the distance from Dallas to College Station. With no malicious intent, the opening paragraph of this article was filled with grossly misleading information. It must be changed to reflect reality. LoginAccountUGH 00:22, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cost of Living
I removed the sentence on cost of living. First, it wasn't cited. Second, I'm pretty sure it's incorrect--places like Laredo and Abilene almost certainly have a cheaper cost of living. --Velvet elvis81 18:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
College station is nowhere near San Antonio —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.192.45.17 (talk) 08:24, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Quarter Million?
I'll be shocked if CS reaches a quarter million in 2025 unless there are some major changes in the job market around here. 128.194.26.248 13:35, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Patrick Zurek
I'm working on Bishop Zurek's Wiki page right now; he was the founding pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station and spent 10 years there. The header does say "have lived OR currently living", so it's appropriate based on other entries in the list (including Chuck Norris, still there even though he's never lived in CS?) Racooper (talk) 14:59, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- As noted, nothing currently gave any indication he ever lived in CS. If the article survives AfD, feel free to readd with source showing he lived in CS. The rest in the list need sourcing too...*sigh* I'm tempted to just clear most out unless a source is added soon. Collectonian (talk) 15:03, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

- The list could be easily shortened if those that are duplicated on the List of Texas A&M University people are removed. I will work on this if I have time later. Racooper (talk) 14:49, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Area Independent schools
yea, I know...one controversy after another. you removed St. Joseph School, but left Allen, St. Michaels and Brazos Christian which are all also in Bryan. Either St. Joseph should be added as an "Area" school, or all the rest removed as not in College Station. Racooper (talk) 02:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- They should probably all be removed. Its such a pain dealing with our schools, since one can live in CS and go to any of them. Blech. But as this is the College Station article, it should probably only have the actual CS schools. Collectonian (talk) 02:42, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] References
Of all the info provided on this page and about 16 sections in the article altogether, there's only 5 references. --Epborn (talk) 21:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that's why its tagged for needing additional references :P -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 21:26, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
