[edit] Nationality
Can someone confirm which flag Kazim should be listed under. Its either Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus or England. Ive left it as England until it can be confirmed. The official SUFC website says Nationality is England. Please make the appropriate changes citing sources, thanks hawksworthm 13:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is an unrecognized country (they can't be in sports etc.) thus all of its citizens generally are counted as Turks and join international sports as citizens of Turkey. According to the Turkish constitution; everyone whose mother or father is a Turk is considered as a Turk; thus he have double citizenship. (Just like Muzzy İzzet) Nerval 21:39, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

- As far as I was aware, he was English, but he does have dual-citizenship. From the SUFC official website "In addition, Colin Kazim-Richards has been called up to the Turkish U21 squad that meets their Swiss counterparts on Saturday 24th March. Kazim-Richards is eligable to represent Turkey through his Turkish-born mother"

- He's been called up to the senior Turkey national football team recently.[1]

[edit] Kazim/Kâzım: Page move discussion
- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
While I accept the diacritics and letter forms are an integral part of the Turkish language and therefore of the original version of this name, CKR's name was registered at a UK registry office, and therefore the legal (and best known) version of his name would be Kazim, not Kâzım. I would suggest that in an encyclopedia accuracy to the facts should take precedence over a desire to apply retrospectively a traditional orthography, and thus propose a move (a return, in fact) of the article to Colin Kazim-Richards, and use of English orthography except in the explanation of the origins of his name. - With no opinion expressed to the contrary in 8 days, and bearing in mind that the switch away from standard UK orthography was made with no discussion, I am now initiating the move back to its original title. Despite what it says here, it cannot be done without the intervention of an admin, hence the announcement at the top of this page. Kevin McE 17:16, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

- How does he write his own name? I think that information could be a good guideline. The other form should be a redirect anyway. E.G. 07:53, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
With no apparent evidence of English usage of current title, support this move. — AjaxSmack 14:24, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Colin Kâzım-Richards to Colin Kazim-Richards as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 06:08, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Real Name
Can someone please turn the page title to:Colin Kâzım Richards. That's his name. I changed all of them in the article but the page title should be changed also. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rokkafellah (talk • contribs) 20:46, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- What is your evidence for saying that this is his real name. See the page move discussion above. To summarise it, he was born, and had his name formally registered, in the UK: UK registration law allows only for the 26 letters of the alphabet used in English, with no diacritics. His legally registered name at birth was therefore Colin Kazim Richards. If you have evidence that he has changed his name in law since then, by all means provide it: I would contend that, in the English speaking world (and this is en.wikipedia), he is best known by the version of his name that is the current title of the article. I guess you're right. Colin changed his name to 'Kâzım Kâzım' though. Look at www.fenerbahçe.org. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.86.138.0 (talk) 00:32, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox contradicts article
The infobox states that Kazim-Richards' scoring record for Fenerbahçe is 26 games/0 goals. Yet the article mentions two goals he has scored. I don't have the data necessary to update this myself (as I only know of the UEFACL goals mentioned in the article - not how many games he has played or any other goals he might have scored). Cynical (talk) 23:00, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Because it states at the bottom of the infobox "Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only". (Mixed_Ham (talk) 04:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC))
