Consider mentioning sizeable West-Indian population who may have contributed to the name Aspinwall rather than U.S. emigres. The West-Indians, who now make up the majority population in Colon, were brought in by the thousands to work on the Canal (by the French and later by the Americans) and most probably contributed the former name of Colon.
