The current official logo of Coleg Llandrillo Cymru includes a simplified version of the former blue and yellow C icons followed by the college's name with "Cymru" newly non-subscripted, and has been used since around 2007.

At the head of the article, Coleg Llandrillo Cymru, only, this unique logo indicates to the reader that they have arrived at the correct article.
By its nature, no free equivalent is or could be available for this image. Only this image or something almost the same (which would be covered by the same copyright) would serve the purpose.
The image is placed on Wikipedia in a manner that makes it clear it is illustrative, and is not used to disparage the copyright holder or in any way that could be construed as advertising educational services in conflict with any trademark (although the college are publicly funded rather than commercial in a strict sense). It also helps demonstrate logo/name changes described in the article. If anything, the use of the logo in this context is beneficial to the copyright holder as it promotes their products.
Also, this is the low quality version of this logo used on the college's website as opposed to the high quality one available internally.
