Portrait of Col. G.G. Nasmith C.M.G. Head of field laboratories (hygiene) with Canadian Expeditionary Force, World War I. Col. Nasmith confirmed that the gas during 2nd Battle of Ypres was chlorine, and suggested first primitive gas mask.
