The students and the public both benefit from this. The automotive program also offers preventive maintenance for those who need basic service skills.
The various Hospitality Management programs are particularly well-known. Alongside the program's array of courses there is a student organized restaurant open to the public two nights a week. Serving meals at reasonable prices, the restaurant gives students a chance to gain valuable experience throughout all areas of running a professional, full-service restaurant.
The campus is well-known for its location and environment. Often observed are squirrels, foxes, deer, and many different kinds of birds. The campus is home to many types of trees including manzanitas, oaks, pines, and firs. These surroundings are often the subject of college courses, where nature hikes develop students' knowledge and opinions on the environment.
