"Colour My World", with words and music by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent, was a Top Twenty US hit for Petula Clark.
In the song, the narrator describes her newfound happiness at finding love, comparing it to various colours ("sunshine yellow, "orange blossoms," "blue from the sky up above") found in nature.
The song was released in November 1966, and peaked at number 16 on the U.S pop charts the following January.
In 2004, various arrangements of the tune were used to promote M&M's in a series of television ads in the United States. In 2008, the song was again used in a series of adverts for the UK furniture retailer DFS.
