Colonial High School is a high school located in Orlando, Florida. The school's principal is Paul Van Mitchell. As of August 2007 the school serves 3,851 students in grades 9 through 12, making it one of the largest schools in Florida. The school's demographics are 70% hispanic, 10% white, 20% black and 3% Asian. The remaining percentage are made up of American Indian and students of multiracial backgrounds. As of 2007 most of the Hispanics in Colonial are Dominicans, Puerto Ricans and Mexicans.[citations needed] Colonial has one of the biggest Production Studios in Orange County, Florida. Each year Colonial and University High School play a traditional Football game for the Boot. The winning school gets to display the Boot in a Trophy Case until the next game. The school's athletic teams are known as the Grenadiers. They have one of the state's best athletic traditions, having won 29 Metro Championships.
