Colney Hatch is a district of the London Borough of Barnet in London, England.
It is situated South of Friern Barnet and North of Muswell Hill. It is a loosely defined area centering around Colney Hatch Lane (B550) which connects the two places. Most of the area's shops, amenities and businesses are along this road.
The area is highly residential with a mixture of Victorian and Edwardian houses as well as much more recent developments, such development include the demolition of the local library to be converted into apartments with a larger library on the current campus.
It is the meeting point between the London Borough of Barnet and the London Borough of Haringey
It was the location of Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum.
