Collins Glacier

Collins Glacier (73°41′S 65°55′ECoordinates: 73°41′S 65°55′E) is a glacier about 11 miles (18 km) wide at its confluence with the Mellor Glacier, which it feeds from the southwest, located north of Mount Newton in the Prince Charles Mountains in Antarctica. It was mapped by ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) from air photos taken in 1956 and 1960, and named by ANCA for N.J. Collins, senior diesel mechanic at Mawson Station, 1960.
