Collegium Musicum de Caracas

Collegium Musicum de Caracas was a venezuelan musical group, founded by Evencio Castellanos in the 1960s, was conformed by a distinguished number of solo musicians, under the direction of Gonzalo Castellanos.
It presented a great contribution for the Venezuelan classical music, and demonstrated in Venezuela and other countries, the quality of a grouping of this nature.
Between some important works of the group, we can mention:
- Ballet miniatura, of Blanca Estrella de Méscoli, winner of the 1965 national prizes of music.
- Sinfonieta Satírica of Inocente Carreño.
