College of Western Idaho

College of Western Idaho (CWI) is an American public community college located in Nampa, Idaho. The College of Western Idaho was created on May 22, 2007 when voters of Canyon and Ada counties passed a measure to allow the formation of the new community college district[1].
The college plans to begin regular classes in August 2009[2].

- March 2007 - The Idaho State Board of Education unanimously approves a Ada-Canyon county community college[3].
- May 2007 - The College of Western Idaho was created when voters of Canyon and Ada county passed a measure to allow the formation of the new community college district[4].
- June 2007 - The Albertson Foundation announces a ten million dollar donation to the College of Western Idaho to help start the new community college.
- July 2007 - The Idaho State Board of Education selects the five board member for the planned College of Western Idaho[5].
- August 2007 - The CWI board names Dennis Griffin the interim president of the College of Western Idaho[6].
