The Government of Rajasthan had founded the Agriculture University, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur by the bifurcation of Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner on November 1, 1999. Since then it has been the principal academic institution supporting mainly south and south-eastern parts of Rajasthan, shouldering the national responsibility of identifying, designing, preparing and adapting new techniques in the field of production technology for Agricultural development.

College of Technology and Engineering is a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agricultre and Technology, located in the beautiful lake city, Udaipur, which is very often described as a paradise on earth! The college is spread over an area of 174 hectares. CTAE, Udaipur is an autonomous body of the Government of the State of Rajasthan.
it is one of among best college of rajasthan.it offers excellent placement to students.there are 5 hostels situated in the lap of mountain.
