Colleen Stewart (née Hickie; previously Smart) is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Home and Away. The character, played by Lyn Collingwood, began as a recurring character who served as comic relief from 1988 to 1989 and again in 1997, becoming a regular in 1999.

Born in 1939, Colleen is the town's source of gossip, known as a "sticky beak" who is quick to judge, but she also has a heart of gold. She is often prone to malapropisms. An example is when she said to Floss I think those psycho powers of yours might need some new batteries when asking Floss if she noticed anything different. At first Floss said none of us are getting any younger and Colleen said no no do your thing. Floss said new dress and Colleen said I think those psycho powers of yours might need some new batteries. She got psycho and physic mixed up. Her main claim to fame was winning the 'Miss Groper Pageant' in 1959, which she regularly boasts about and which she re-introduced to Summer Bay in early 2005.
Growing up she had an abusive father (who physically abused both her and her mother) and an alcoholic mother. Growing up, she saw how happy the Stewart family were and dreamt of being a Stewart, her dream came true when she was elderly when she discovered she was always a Stewart.

Colleen hasn't been involved in any major story lines of her own. Only playing a small part in others, usually the comic relief. When she first arrived it was always a small part in her son Lance's major story lines.
In February 2008, Colleen got taken hostage by Johnny Cooper. Colleen bursted into the Summer Bay house in the early hours of the morning. Johnny let her go but stabbed Sally. Colleen was really upset, but was pleased when Sally pulled through. She now knows that Cassie is pregnant after telling Cassie that she`s put on a little bit of weight and Cassie then went up to Colleen and said "Actually Mrs Smart I am pregnant." Colleen then congratulated Cassie and then told Leah and Leah was happy for Cassie. However Colleen has a dark secret which could destroy her friendship with others. She was apprehensive about Cassie because she is HIV Positive at first, not being fully aware about it. Though at the same time sympathised with her.

In March 2008; due to earth tremors around Summer Bay, the War Memorial cracked open and revealed a time capsule, Colleen persuaded the Historic Society to open it and inside it was a diary; in the diary it was revealed that Colleen's mother had a fling with Alf and Morag Stewart's father, producing Colleen. This is a shock to Morag who immediately asks for a DNA test. Colleen felt guilty after her attempts at helping Martha in the Sam Holden murder investigation went wrong and Morag Bellingham was furious with her interference. The guilt got too much and she quit her job at the diner, but was persuaded by Leah to return. Morag was furious a few weeks later when Colleen interfered in her date with Ross Buckton but since then Morag has apologised.
