Collabora Ltd. is a private company founded by Robert McQueen, Robert Taylor and Philippe Kalaf based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Collabora is a leading force behind multimedia support on Linux and other open source operating systems. The initial focus of Collabora was voice of IP and videoconferencing technologies, but as the company has expanded so has the focus and now also includes general multimedia, mobile web technologies, collaboration infrastructure and multimedia interoperability. Collabora leads the development of the GStreamer media framework and employ Wim Taymans, the GStreamer maintainer. Collabora engineers created the Farsight and Telepathy collaboration and communication architectures, technologies which are used in systems such as the OLPC and the Nokia maemo environment. Collabora lead technologies such as GStreamer, Farsight and Telepathy are also widely used in especially the GNOME open source computer desktop.

Collabora is a very international company with offices in Cambridge (United Kingdom), Montreal (Canada) and Barcelona (Spain).
