Collège Louise Wegman (CLW)

History
The Louise Wegmann School, known in Lebanon as “Le Collège Louise Wegman” or CLW is a non denominational educational institution (incl. kindergarten, primary school and high school) founded in 1965 by the disciples of Mrs. Louise Wegman, leading Lutheran educator and social worker active in Lebanon in the 1920-1950 era.
Campus
The main campus is located in the village of Bchémoun 5 miles from Beirut and set on a picturesque Mediterranean pine tree forest (see photo).A new Campus opened in Badaro beirut on a surface of 4ha. It is the first school in lebanon and one of the top ten in the middle east.
Direction
Two Persons directed the College since its foundation, mrs.Abou(1965-1999) and Mrs Tiba Geha-Villard (2000-present). Mrs.Geha Villard received in december 2008 the Palme Academique for the best diretor from the French republic, what amplified the "prestige" of the school.
the College Louise Wegmann has around 500 students.
