Colin West (born November 13, 1962 in Wallsend, England) is an English footballer who played as a striker.
West made his debut for Sunderland in 1981. In the latter stages of the 1981-82 season, he would be given a run in the team and finish the season with 6 goals which proved crucial in preserving Sunderland's first division status. Despite scoring some decisive goals (and was the side's top scorer in the League for the 1983-84 season), his scoring record over the next few seasons was not outstanding for a striker.
West moved to Watford during the 1984-85 season, and enjoyed a productive spell at the club before moving on to Rangers, where his gametime was limited. A move to Sheffield Wednesday in 1987 proved less fruitful for the player, who would go on to play for West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Leyton Orient.
After retiring from playing, he joined the coaching staff at Hartlepool United. He is currently assistant manager at Millwall.
