[edit] Dance/club career
He performed all over the world as a dancer most famously as a member of Matthew Bourne's[1] cutting-edge theatre company 'Adventures In Motion Pictures' (AMP) where he created roles in the original productions of the ground-breaking 'Swan Lake' (West End, BBC Film, L.A. & Broadway) as well 'Cinderella' (London & L.A.) and the UK tour of 'Highland Fling'.
In 2000 he co-created legendary London club-night 'Drama' [2] with Terry Hart. The original club ran for over 4 years at various venues including Ministry of Sound, The Cross, Browns, The Eve Club as well as Space (Ibiza) and is due for a comeback in 2008.
He worked the door and/or hosted at loads of clubs including Turnmills, Fabric, Home, The Mayfair Club, Rouge, Rock and, most recently, was MC at Nude [3] where he took to the mic and improvised vocals over the sets of resident DJ's Smokin' Jo and Mazzy Supastar.
[edit] Music career
Colin Waterson started making music seriously in 2005 and thus far has included work with super-producer Andy Whitmore [4], collaborations with Martin 101, a huge club track with Smokin' Jo [5] and Pete Gleadhall (Pet Shop Boys) called 'Strip Down (Nude)' and several tracks fronting 'Ichi Ni San' with London scene stalwarts Harj and Kriss Darang.
A mini-album came in the form of 'Dada' and was released to great reviews and global radio play in 2006 and he is currently recording his official full-length debut album 'The House of Waterson', due for release later this year.
He will appear as "...featuring Waterson..." on 'Solid Silver' with Mitch Davis (Nish Nish), 'Rollercoaster' with Ichi Ni San (Devore) [6] and 'I Love Linda' with Sleek Physique [7] (Kinki Malinki). The latter of which is already receiving huge support from Pete Tong [8]
After taking London's east-end electro scene by storm, his official debut solo single 'Fa Fa Feel' is due for full international release on Universal this summer and will include the official Michael Gray Radio Edit as well as other mixes from The Cube Boys and Oliver Lang.
With over 150,000 plays Waterson regularly tops the electro, pop and soul chart over at Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/watersonmusic
