Colin Walker is a British cellist.
He was a cellist for the Electric Light Orchestra, between 1972 and 1973. He left the group eventually to get married. His contributions can be heard on the ELO II album and hit singles Roll Over Beethoven (ELO's first US hit single) and was involved early in the production of the bands third LP On the Third Day playing on the hit singles Showdown and Ma-Ma-Ma Belle. Walker was replaced in late 1973 by returning cellist Hugh McDowell, who had just departed from Roy Wood's Wizzard.
He is now a cellist with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House[citation needed].
