Colin Nish (born 7 March 1981 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer who is currently playing for Scottish Premier League club Hibernian.

He grew up a fan of his local side Hibs but started his career in Fife, with Dunfermline Athletic, where he made his debut in the 1998-99 season. He had two subsequent loan spells with Alloa Athletic[1] and one at Clyde.

He joined Kilmarnock in 2003, after being released by Dunfermline[2], signing a deal which ran until Christmas at which point he put pen to paper on an 18-month contract.[3] He initially struggled at Kilmarnock where fans were often critical of him after a poor start and nicknamed him "Colin Pish". It was during this time that he performed a moment which has stuck firm with Kilmarnock fans, missing an open goal in a league match against Hearts from six yards out with the goalkeeper Craig Gordon stranded. However after the departure of Kris Boyd to Glasgow Rangers he began to find form for the club and was eventually seen as a fan's favourite thanks to his committed performances.

However in October 2007, after watching Kilmarnock sell star players Boyd and Steven Naismith to Rangers in the last two years, he rejected Kilmarnock's offer of a new contract, meaning he was able to talk to other clubs from January 2008 with a view to a bosman transfer in the summer. On 30 January 2008 Nish signed a pre-contract with boyhood heroes Hibernian. The next day the clubs agreed the immediate transfer of Nish to Hibs on a 3 and a half year contract.[4]

He made his debut for Hibs on 9 February 2008 in a 1-1 draw away to Dundee United[5], and scored his first goal for Hibs ten minutes into his home debut against Gretna on 13 February 2008[6].
