[edit] Club Football
Although he plays for Tyrone Holmes teaches in County Armagh and therefore plays his club football for Armagh Harps where he is club captain.[2]
[edit] County Football
Holmes has been a long standing member of the Tyrone panel and his versatility has meant he is normally an important member of the panel although his career has often been blighted by numerous injuries.[3][4]. He has won honours with the county at youth and senior level including the 1993 Ulster Minor Championship as well as four Ulster Senior Championship medals and two All Ireland Championship medals.
As of 2008 he remains a member of the Tyrone panel for the upcoming National League campaign.[5]
