Other times his name was stated to be "Mitchell Coleman." He runs a bar in town known as Jake's.

[edit] Character History

Viewers of General Hospital first encountered Coleman in 2002 when he was introduced as the owner of the strip club that Courtney Matthews was working in. When Courtney faced trouble from a stalker, it was Coleman who revealed that Courtney's husband AJ Quartermaine was behind the stalking as he had set the whole thing up so he could come to Courtney's rescue and thus look good in her eyes. Over the years Coleman became somewhat protective of Courtney although Courtney still felt uncomfortable around him.

Coleman later slept with Skye Quartermaine and was present on the night that Carly Corinthos was slipped with date rape drugs. When Carly believed that Ric Lansing had raped her (as Ric said that they had had a one night stand and Carly believed that she had been too drugged to consent to sex), it was Coleman who revealed that he saw Ric with Carly that night. Coleman told Carly that he was ready to intervene when Ric looked set to take advantage of her, but that Ric had left her alone and hadn't raped her as Carly previously thought. A pregnant Carly was relieved as it meant that her husband Sonny Corinthos was definitely the father of her unborn child Morgan Corinthos.

In 2005, Helena Cassadine hired Coleman as one of her henchmen but turned on her when Helena kidnapped Emily Quartermaine. Coleman helped Emily escape. A few months later Courtney and Coleman were stuck in an elevator together on Courtney's wedding day to Jasper Jacks. Soon after this, Luke Spencer hired Coleman to seduce his wife Tracy Quartermaine as he wanted a divorce. Surprisingly, Tracy enjoyed having Coleman in her bed, but the relationship was short lived as Tracy still refused to grant Luke a divorce.

In 2006 Coleman was seen at Courtney's funeral service.

Coleman is most often seen at Jake's, his place of business and has been present during all of the Girls Night Out episodes as well as the Boys Night Out episode. Recently Coleman intervened during an argument between Robin Scorpio and Patrick Drake and he and Patrick ended up in a physical fight. As a result, Patrick's hand was injured, thus threatening Patrick's surgical career.
