[edit] Biography

Coldworker arose from the ashes of renowned Swedish grindcore band Nasum, after the band split up following the death of guitarist/vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk. In January 2006, drummer Anders Jakobson expressed his willingness to form a new band on his blog on Nasum's website. He was contacted by Anders Bertilsson, who offered to handle guitar duties. Bass player Oskar Pålsson soon joined the fold.

The trio started exchanging riffs, and soon began rehearsing and writing songs. In March 2006, the band was joined by second guitarist André Alvinzi (also in Carnal Grief). In April, the name Coldworker was announced, as well as the joining of vocalist Joel Fornbrant.

In June, Coldworker played their first show and started recording their debut offering, The Contaminated Void. The album was released later the same year.

Coldworker have completed recording their upcoming album, "Rotting Paradise". The release date for this album will land in North American stores, May 13th.
