Coimbatore North Junction is a railway station located in Coimbatore city, in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.
The station has two platforms, Reservation center with 2 counters, Booking office, a platform tea stall. Presently Cheran express, Nilagri experss, Chennai intercity express in the return direction(from Chennai) stops here. Chennai egmore-Mangalore express, Coimbatore-Nagercoil passenger, Coimbatore-Erode passenger, Coimbatore-Mettupalayam passenger, Palgaht-Trichy Passenger stops in Both directions. A lot of workers from Coimbatore and Tirupur uses this station. Hon'lbe minister of state for Railways Mr.Velu had told that "To avoid congestion in Coimbatore station some express trains would stop in Coimbatore North Junction also". Coimbatore People are expecting Railways to have a terminal facility in Coimbatore North.[1]
