Cofete

Cofete is a small village in the western part of the Jandia peninsula in Fuerteventura. Its beach is about 35 km long. The mountains surround the beach while some parts as near the foothills. The soil color is ranges from sandy peach-yellow to dirt brown. Famous landmarks includes the Villa Winter, not far from Cofete which sits on a mountain slope with a small tower on the left. The villa was first built shortly after the end of the Second World War in 1946. Today, the villa also serves as a restaurant and a hotel. 8 km from Cofete is place with sandy beaches and is called Playa Cofete. Morro Jable is usually used during the weekends. A small cemetery lies near the beach and the villa. Another monument which includes a green statue next to the sheep and are made up of stones and a staircase.
