[edit] Sources, and 1892 deaths
First, i'm not satisfied with the sources for the substantial changes i've made. I hope to obtain more sources in the near future to supplement/verify these accounts.
Second, there is something puzzling about deaths in the Earl Clark article. Here's a chronology:
- Two company men were killed at the Frisco mine.
- One company (non-union) man was killed at the Gem mine, while crossing a footbridge.
- Three men were reported as a total of union men killed.
- Three union men and two company men were buried.
These numbers don't add up, unless the man crossing the footbridge, alleged to have been killed by union gunfire, was actually one of the three union men. (Was he then, perhaps, killed by company gunfire?)
Peter Carlson states in Roughneck that no one was killed when the Frisco mine was blown up. He states that at the end of the day, there were a total of two dead.
Further exploration required, i think. Richard Myers 14:03, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
