[edit] Poaching

Coddling is the same as poaching, isn't? Shouldn't this page just redirect to the poaching page?

As far as I can tell, food is coddled in a container; eggs just happen to come pre-equipped with one. [1] VermillionBird 00:40, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Raw eggs

While coddled or poached eggs may still pose a salmonella risk, they are certainly not raw. The egg whites have collaged which means, they aren't raw.
