[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Rwanda-Genocide-1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rwanda-Genocide-1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Muchness 19:03, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

The following images you uploaded also do not have information on their copyright status:

[edit] Your image uploads

Please review the image copyright notice above. All image uploads must be tagged with an appropriate template so we can determine their copyright status. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for a list of available templates. Thank you for your consideration. --Muchness 15:47, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summaries

A recent edit of yours in the article Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has a summary that not adequately described your changes. Please write edit summaries that tell other editors what you did. — Sebastian 19:55, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Regarding this: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. [edit] Rwandan Genocide images

cobenobo: Why did you remove my images to the Rwandan Genocide? Those are valid pictures? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cobenobo (talkcontribs) 23:31, 17 November 2007

Hello. The images you uploaded were deleted from Wikipedia because they had an unknown copyright status. When you upload an image to Wikipedia, you must include on the description page the image's source and an image copyright tag. If the image is not usable under a free license, you must also include a fair use rationale on the description page. If an image is lacking this information, it will be deleted from Wikipedia. See WP:IUP for more info. Regards. --Muchness (talk) 03:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
