A cobweb is a collection of dust particles. A spider web is spun by the spider.

wooooo thats not true. Hear me out!!!! I stayed in a room for 3 years straight and recorded all of the activity that took place in that room. After a year of staying in that room I noticed several cobwebs in the corner of the room, which is quite strange because there was never any evidence of spiders. Proving that cobwebs don't come from spiders. Although I did find evidence of gerbils, leading to the hypothesis that gerbils are magical creatures that can do anything that they want to do.
