Cobalt carbonate
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cobalt(II) carbonate also known as spherocobaltite is a mineral with chemical formula CoCO3. It is the carbonate salt of cobalt. It forms red trigonal crystals with specific gravity 4.13 which decompose on melting. It is insoluble in either cold or hot water but soluble in acids [1].
It is used in pottery glazes and may be found in pottery supply stores.
