[edit] Terms of Service Violation

There are multiple links in this article that point to various pages deeply embedded on the Coast to Coast AM website, however the Terms of Service for the Coast site forbids linking to any other page than the www.coasttocoastam.com main page. 21:13, 12 February 2008

If this is true, then that problem is easily resolved by instead linking through the Internet Archive.

Could find no documentation this is true. I think the people at Coast have brains larger than walnuts. It would be an imbecilic policy. There are hundreds of websites and newsletters out there that link to Coast to Coast AM pages. Going after everyone who does this would be a quite impossible task, and it would come back to haunt them in a very bad way. Horrible PR. And the program has degraded enough as it is.

[edit] Premiere Networks Conspiracy

We need to add a note about the conspiracy surrounding Premiere ousting Art in favor of a more conservative host. I DO think that George Noory's affinity for Jesus Christ and George W Bush should be noted here in some way. Any thoughts on this? BobVillain 10:01, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gordon Freeman

As much as The respectable physicist/master of not dieing's appearance on the show was hilarious, He obviously doesn't belong in the "regular guest's" section. a small note of the event might be suitable. Playwrite (talk) 13:09, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Someone keeps trying to sneak that crank call into sections it does not belong. It started in the Popular Callers section. Then it was included twice in the References in Popular Culture section. With it was posted a YouTube link to the clip, which was a copyright infringement against Premiere Radio. Now it has just been removed from the Frequent Guests section. Note that even most of the legitimate Frequent Guests have only a one line description, and they are actually relevant to the program. This call was meaningless in regards to the program. In order to include this one irrelevant crank call, an entire new section would be required, which would be completely unwarranted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.30.118 (talk) 09:01, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Single Night in the Show's History

What's the deal with such an extensive section devoted to a single night in the show's history? No need at all as far as I can see.

Please sign your statements. Martial Law 03:59, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Looks like it's taken care of. Sayvandelay 13:12, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] To the Anonymous Wiki Police Officer...

Whoever keeps deleting the information about the show's multiple call-in numbers - when you delete something twice, it's not a bad idea to come to the talk page and explain yourself. I'm not the person who added this information originally, but I did notice it on the edit history and added a more sensible version of it last night. Seems like a perfectly reasonable piece of information, as it's one of the show's calling cards, and as mentioned in the article, is regularly parodied on another famous radio show. --65.175.223.122 21:23, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

AUTHORS: PLEASE INCLUDE THE YEAR THAT ART BELL STARTED DOING HIS SHOW. THANKS.

[edit] Episodes listing

Would a listing of the episodes, what guests were therewith, the activities therein, claims, and so forth be possible? It would definately make this article more comprehensive.. Someone actually from the forum would prolly be a tremendous help if they're frequented it long enough. DrWho42 16:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

not really possible. this show has been four hours a night, five nights a week for some 15+ years, so there are thousands of shows.

It should be possible to list the various HOSTS maybe, and a blurb about each one.

[edit] Prey

Shouldn't there be a bit about this being featured in the video game Prey?

I was just about to ask that. In any event, since the Art Bell segments are one of the more intresting bits in the game, I think it merits at least a mention. 68.88.201.103 05:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Would be interesting if...

It would be interesting if Oscar and JC got on the show at the SAME time.Martial Law 22:38, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

= they recently did (briefly in late june 2007), and there's talk of a forthcoming on-air debate between them

[edit] Alex Jones

Alex Jones was introduced on Coast To coast AM last Friday, AS a expert in conspiratorial matters. For more, go to Alex Jones on Coast To Coast AM. Martial Law 01:40, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hale-Bopp

The Comet Hale-Bopp has a couple paragraphs on Art Bell and Hale-Bopp. It might be worthwhile to mention this information. I'm fairly sure that at some point either this or Art Bell did include reference to Hale-Bopp. Theshibboleth 10:45, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ufologist

Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center should be mentioned. He is a frequent guest on this show. Martial Law 20:41, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New show

New show is called Coast To Coast AM Live. Martial Law 04:59, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

It is a sister show to this one.Martial Law 05:00, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism

I do not feel that the criticism section is valid because the host won't waste his time challenging the statements of prank calls which often include some of the more ridiculous claims made on the show. It's a call-in show and they cannot waste their time getting into huge debates with someone who isn't even serious. I often hear opinions and statements being questioned, not only by callers but also by the host if the caller or guest is serious about their statement. I also don't think that rationalists are a big opponent of the show.

I can see skeptics having problems with the content of the show but the method seems reasonable considering that it is an entertainment-oriented call-in show.

99.9% of nonsense is distributed via "fluff pieces". This is a 4 hour long fluff piece that is on every day. I'd say a little criticism is in order.Playwrite (talk) 13:39, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The "Chad" Ufo Photos

A listener by the name of "Chad," supposedly from central California provided some chilling photos http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page2022.html?theme=light that seem to be building steam across the internet. I've never seen a series of photos have such an impact. Should this be included on the C2CAM page? 1DmkIIN 05:50, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eiryn or Airyn?

[edit] C2CAM MySpace

Someone keeps removing and altering the C2CAM MySpace and description in the "external links" section. Although it is not an official coast to coast am myspace this site has been mentioned ON AIR by George Noory as a great site to check out and is quite popular. An article is even about to be published concerning the C2CAM MySpace popularity!

I think there may be a conspiracy to discredit that site for some reason. Possibly from one of the "posting" forums? I sense some jealousy afoot.

[edit] the Bells' baby has been born

under "hosts", Airyn is still described as expecting

Baby IS born. See Below. 205.240.144.225 05:37, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Retirement ?!

Art Bell has, as of the time on this sig, has stated that WILL RETIRE TODAY. 205.240.144.225 05:37, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] JC dying ?!

Heard this on a C2CAM show. Hope not. There is a debate comming up between JC and Oscar. It is about what will win the war between good and evil. 65.163.113.170 (talk) 23:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Maybe Oscar got to him. 65.163.113.170 (talk) 23:45, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

We haven't heard from Oscar since June 29 of last year, when he faced J.C. briefly. George later reported that Oscar ran from J.C., refusing to face him in a debate after J.C. reamed him. So J.C. won it by default. But J.C. has got to be in his 80's now. He can't last much longer, especially with all that anger. It would have been great to hear J.C. take calls one more time. But instead of entertaining listeners, George chooses to air clowns like the automatic writers. I can barely listen anymore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.30.118 (talk) 09:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] What happened to the section on the shows hosts?

It appears to have been deleted for some unknown reason back in november. Isn't that section pretty important?

[edit] Canadian broadcast

The sow is broadcast by Corus affiliates such as CHQR here in Calgary (and I've added a link to the show page). I know it's also broadcast by the Saskatoon Corus station - basically all the talk radio stations air it after the Old Time Radio feature (though we never get to hear the first 2 hours as a result). I've added this information. 68.146.41.232 (talk) 00:59, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] All the Children Are Dead

If anyone has more information regarding the excerpts used in this song, please add it to this section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.194.211.62 (talk) 23:27, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
