Coalition implies allies. Unless the title is ironic, which is possible. Fshy --71.146.34.138 18:09, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A time for war

To Jericho's benefit they have a Tank in their arsenal.

Lowellriggsiam 21:35, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

a tank alone won't win them the battle. As Gray said in an earlier episode "we'd need some kind of x-factor to make it", although he had the supply shortage in mind. so what will happen? Will the real U.S. Marines show up in the nick of time or will the Red Chinese invade while Jericho and New Bern are dancing? 74.69.159.42 20:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Gray did say, when speaking of the tank, "Who knows when you might need one." When New Bern comes, hide everyone, set booby traps, crop dust the intruders, steal their arsenal, and threaten them with Hawking's 'dirty bomb'.

Actually, Johnston Green is the one who said "You never know when you might need a tank". Considering that the morse code translation for that episode (Semper Fidelis) was "They'll need it", and you can see the edge of it in the preview for next week's episode, it will play a part. How big of a part is still unknown. As for Hawkins' bomb, it is a 20 kiloton nuclear warhead from a Soviet MERV, not a dirty bomb. BIG difference :-) --Breandán 02:11, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Jericho DOES NOT have the resources that New Bern has to make weapons. Chances are New Bern already has info on the status of the tank. As for Hawking's bomb.... it's a lose/lose situation. ITDEFX 22:09, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

It's weird that no-one in Jericho brought the tank forth in any conversations. It's like the writers forgot that the tank is in the barn. Gari 02:27, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flag

Anyone see the flag at the end of the episode? It looked like the US flag with less stars and stripesA305w 01:57, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Could someone add this picture or a better one on the appropriate page? [NEW FLAG PIC]. Same amount of stripes (but aligned vertically) but with 21 stars instead.

Do a Google Image Search for "us civil flag"+"vertical stripes" and prepare to be surprised ;) Kar98 17:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Interesting. Its the US Civil flag, a flag that hasn't been used except by the Coast Guard in a modified form, since 1822. It looks like in the screencap it has the wrong number of stars but it is hard to tell. I wonder how they'll use it on Jericho? A305w 18:03, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Supposedly the current U.S. is the MILITARY flag for the U.S, and the flag with the vertical stripes is the flag for civilian use. I’m assuming that other towns or cities in the Jericho universe decided to revive this flag in light of the recent wars and conflicts across the U.S.

[edit] Goof??

When we see the first shot of the truck that Hawking's spots, did anyone notice that it was a black and white truck, then in the next shots it turns to blue and white?

ITDEFX 23:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

And don't forget this one: when Jake is shooting at the guys from New Bern, he's holding his rifle at the magazine. No person would do that after shooting like this once, cause for one, you don't have any grip and it can get pretty hot too. With Jake being in the Armed Forces and all, one would expect him to know that. K.satirli 10:05, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

First, I don't think the cast has any fire arm training. Jonnah's gang looked kinda funny running in guns firing on uneven ground. Second we are pretty sure that Jake was not in the Armed Service as in "The Day Before" during the interview with the company, the guy catches his resume anomaly. I really don't know why is Jake not telling anyone where he has been for 5 years.ITDEFX 22:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

It's weird that they go to such length to modify Windows XP (Robert's laptop) and using UMPCs to make it all look as realistic as possible, yet the information that can be had for free from anyone who ever shot an assault rifle, they don't get. Fire arm training or not, Jake used weapons before (the hospital) and back then he didn't screw up, as far as I remember. Still, it was an interesting episode for sure.
