Coastal Taranaki School is a decile 5 area school located in Okato, Taranaki, New Zealand. Created in 2005, it is the product of a government decision to merge the small coastal schools, Warea, Newall, Okato Primary and Okato College; although it also gained students from some other closed schools in the area. As an area school, it caters for the education needs of years 1-15 and currently holds an approximate roll of 350 students. Allan Miles is currently the school's Principal, following Jaki Sutton's resignation in 2005.
Students of CTS are known for their successes in many sports including rugby union, volleyball, basketball, squash, indoor bowls, and inline hockey.
In Māori, the school motto is "Ma te whanau, te tamaiti e puawai", which translates as "By the whole community, the child will blossom."
