Coast & Country is a Registered Social Landlord in the north of England. It was set up in 2001 as the result of a Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) of social housing and related property from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. The company's housing stock stood at 10,726 properties on 31 March 2006.
The company is a 'not for profit' local housing company limited by guarantee. As a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) it is regulated by the Housing Corporation.
The company is governed by a board of 15 members consisting of Tenant Board Members, Independent Board Members and Local Authority Board Members. The current chair of the Board is Councillor Cliff Houlding.
Management of the company is the responsibility of the Chief Executive, Iain Sim, who is supported by three directors (Jane Iley, Finance and Corporate Services), Ronny Harris, (Housing Operations) and Anna Gibson (Regeneration and Development).
