Coal Miner's Daughter is a 1971 album by American country music singer-songwriter, Loretta Lynn.

This was Loretta Lynn's first album of 1971. The album's title track was the only single released and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart in late 1970. The song, about the upbringing of Lynn's life made the song her signature song and also made this album very popular. The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #81 on the Billboard 200. The album sold a number of copies, and was eventually certified "Gold" by the RIAA for selling 500,000 copies. The album became Lynn's third album to be certified "Gold" by the RIAA. This would be one of Lynn's most successful-selling albums of her career. The album's name would be used for the name of Lynn's best-selling autobiography as well as the 1980 Oscar-winning movie starring Sissy Spacek.

Although the song, boook, and movie are reflections on Lynn's upbringing, the album of the same name is different. Besides the hit single, Lynn wrote two additional songs for this album, including "What Makes Me Tick". Many of the album's 11 tracks consist of 70s hit singles by other artists, including Ray Price's "For the Good Times" and "Snowbird" by Anne Murray. The album also includes L;ynn's first hit from nearly ten years before, "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl". The album was later re-released on MCA Records.
