CNSAD
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The CNSAD (Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique), is the French National Conservatory of Dramatic Art. It is renowned as the most prestigious drama school in Europe (with British RADA).[citation needed]
This reputation is notably explained by the very severe selection at the entrance examination: 3 rounds of selection for an average 2 or 3% of admitted students compared to the number of applicants.
The CNSAD offers a 3 years study program. Every class counts approximately 30 students (generally 15 gents, 15 ladies) and some foreign trainees are invited each year.
A stage directing program has also been opened in 2001.
The Conservatoire is located "Rue du Conservatoire" in Paris, France. Its beautiful theatre was built in 1811 by the architect Delannoy.
