  • Script should download ISO4217.txt automatically, or at least check for changes
  • Error recovery, retry on failure
  • Automatic update of the template
  • Possibly rewrite in PHP or some other server-side code

  • When your script runs, could you have it also update a simple template, possibly Template:ToUSDDate with the date it was updated? This way users of ToUSD can say, "2,000,000 Yen (about {{ToUSD|2000000|JPY}} as of {{ToUSDDate}})." — Alan De Smet | Talk 02:17, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • When your script runs, could it generate a simple table of the currency codes and the longer names, and dump it into the <noinclude> section of Template:ToUSDvalues?
