The Centre de montage et de récupération (English: Assembly and Repair Centre) was a company founded after the Second World War at Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1945 to continue the construction of BMW motorcycles taken from Germany.
For this reason, the logo is a modified version of the BMW logo, showing the colours of the french flag.
The company constructed models made up of various German components, creating a hybrid of the R71 and R75 models, under the name R73.
The company was renamed CEMEC (Centre d'études de moteurs à explosion et à combustion) (English: Centre for the Study of the Internal Combustion Engine) in 1948, and was later bought out by Ratier.
