[edit] Speedy deletion of Hilda Charlton
A tag has been placed on Hilda Charlton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 17:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Re your message on my talk page. I just nominated the article for deletion, an admin actually deleted it. May I suggest that you create the complete article in your user sandbox first (User:Cminard/sandbox) then copy and paste it to the main article space. Please ensure that the article meets the criteria for notability set out in WP:Bio. Also, please sign your messages on talk pages by adding 4 tildes (~) at the end. Thank you.--ukexpat (talk) 18:04, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Rudi
Saw your note on my talk page. Sounds like your on the right track. Regarding links, I wasn't aware that all of the people you mention are teachers in Rudi's lineage, so it might be appropriate to link to their pages, perhaps with the caveat that we don't have mutliple links to sites that essentially say the same thing or don't themselves use reliable sources for their material (that's just my opinion by the way). Congrats for keeping the article neutral and reliably sourced (two of the pillars of Wikipedia's philosophy). If their are differing viewpoints on his teachings and philosophies those viewpoints are allowed representation in the article as long as they are reliably sourced and not fringe material and not just mere opinions (paradoxically that's just my opinion).TheRingess (talk) 17:32, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Keep up the good work
I think you are doing great work on the Rudi article (even though I keep deleting material). For an article that's only been around a couple of weeks, it's one of the best I've seen (take that with a grain of salt). Regarding external links, might I suggest that some of his students may qualify for their own article (see WP:BIO, in short we need to know that we have enough independant, verifiable biographical material to create an article more than a couple of sentences in length), and should they, then you can create articles for them; including the relevant links on those articles. Take care.TheRingess (talk) 17:18, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:SwamiRudrananda1.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:SwamiRudrananda1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hilda Charlton
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hilda Charlton, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://skandagurunatha.org/oracles/about_hilda.asp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 09:36, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect page in Wikipedia
{{helpme}}
How does one create an automatic redirect page? Thank you.--Cminard (talk) 11:52, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- See WP:REDIRECT, but in essence you use the code '#REDIRECT [[name of target goes here]]'. Algebraist 12:40, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] categorization mass edits
Please stop mass adding articles to Category:Sanskrit words and phrases. Yogayajnavalkya Samhita isn't a "Sanskrit word or phrase", it's a title. "Arjuna " Please stop mass adding articles to Category:Sanskrit words and phrases. Yogayajnavalkya Samhita isn't a "Sanskrit word or phrase", it's a personal name. Addition of "Samhita", "Kalpa", "Jyotisha" etc. is arguable, but please exert some judgement. --dab (𒁳) 11:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nice to meet you
I have read your message. I visited the article and understood your point. I would like to know one thing. If, there exists and category like 'Latin Words and Phrases' or 'Greek Words and Phrases', then they is nothing wrong in having Sanskrit Words and Phrases Category. But, words and phrases means striclty speaking 'Pada' and 'Vakya'. Mahabhaaratam is a sanskrit word, but i personally feel..."Asvattama hatah kunjarah", is phrase...more than former one, i feel later one shoud be included. I respect and appreciate your effort. But, just concentrate in adding words and phrases. The new word has no problem. There are hell lot of Latin and Greek words, then why not Sanskrit. Wikipedia, is an free encylcopedia. So, there is nothing wrong in writing an article if it satisfies the rules and conditions. More than that, Approach Indian Wikipedian Moderators regarding this issue. I wish it should be indians who has to decide whether it should be there or not. I am rare to wikipedia now a days. So, I can be of help, but not frequently...Have a nice time...Subham Bhooyaat.Bsskchaitanya (talk) 16:38, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
