Thanks for adding the info on TeleSoft Ada to the p-System page. I've been trying to track down a copy of their Ada compiler for the WD Microengine, or any other p-System. You wouldn't by any chance happen to have a lead on it? Or know who any of the principals of TeleSoft were? Thanks! --Brouhaha 22:54, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Yer welcome! Actually, I'm one of the TeleSoft founders and a Pascal Project Family member. Google showed me that page while I was looking for something else and I was surprized to see TeleSoft mentioned.

I tried to correct what I could in one sentence. The problem, I suppose, is how to avoid going off on tangents or getting too wrapped up in the details no one really cares about.

I'll have to think about how one might best track down a copy of the compiler that ran on the Microengine. May I ask why you want it? CMaudlin 14:57, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I actually have three Microengine based computers, one using the WD/900 single board, and two using the Modular Microengine board set. I don't have very much software for them. But I'm particularly interested in Ada. I used Ada from 1984-1986 on an Intel 432 system, and more recently using GNU Ada on Linux, but it wasn't until last year that I found out that there had been an Ada compiler for the Microengine.
Photos of my Microengine stuff are at [1]. General information on my retrocomputing collection is at [2]. I also do volunteer work at the Computer History Museum, most recently restoring a DEC PDP-1. --Brouhaha 19:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Wow, interesting. I'll check around. -- CMaudlin 22:29, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
