This may need a merge or delete. I'm not sure. I discovered, after writing, that there is an article at Clytia. That article gives a different father and makes the two rival women sisters. My source is Lempriere's Dictionary, which does have occasional errors. I will re-read the relevant section of Metamorphoses (4) and see which is correct. If this is correct, I'll make that a redirect here. If that is correct, I will delete this. Geogre 00:41, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect of Clytia
I re-read Metamorphoses 4, and Ovid provides nothing to suggest that Clytia was the sister of Leucothoe. Since Clytia is mentioned elsewhere as a daughter of Oceanus, and since Ovid does indicate that there is some vast distance between Clytia and Leucothoe (dying amid ocean rocks vs. desert sands), I have redirected Clytia to this Clytie. [edit] Pronounciation
How is this pronounced? Clai-tai? Clithy?
I'm also unsure how clythia should be pronounced. Pantheon.org gives me no help in this regard.
[edit] Weirdly Phrased Sentence
"which turns its head always to look longingly at Apollo dude chariot of the sun"
Um... Apollo dude chariot? What the heck is that? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noneko (talk • contribs) 06:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC).
