"Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" is the fourth episode of the third season of television series The X-Files. Skeptical of a famous psychic's predictions regarding the murder of several prognosticators, Mulder instead finds someone who he believes truly can predict the future. Catching the killer could prove difficult, though, particularly if the murderer can also see into his own future. This episode won two Emmys. One was for the writing, and the other was awarded to Peter Boyle for his guest appearance in this episode.[1]

[edit] Trivia
- Agent Scully inherits a dog, she later calls Queequeg, as part of Clyde Bruckman's last will.
- In one scene Mulder is testing Bruckman with a series of objects, one of which is a piece of blue cloth. Bruckman declares it part of Mulder's New York Knicks t-shirt, which Mulder replies as a miss. Mulder used a similar object from his actual Knicks shirt to seemingly disprove the psychic abilities of another seer in the first season episode, "Beyond the Sea".
- Yappi later makes a brief cameo as the host of an alien autopsy film in "Jose Chung's "From Outer Space"".
- The title character's name comes from Clyde Bruckman, a director & writer of early 20th century comedy films, notably several Buster Keaton pictures. The two detective characters from this episode are named Havez and Cline, after Jean Havez and Edward F. Cline, two other writers who also worked with Buster Keaton.
- Clyde's poker hand near the end hand is Dead man's hand.
