Talk:Cluster effect
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed the redirect to a business-related article; the cluster effect is a statistical phenomenon.
For example in the mid- to late 1990s, several successful computer technology related companies emerged in Silicon Valley in California. This led anyone who wished to create a startup company to do so in Silicon Valley.
Huh? Please look at the history high-tech business in the valley (and the bay area in general). Several successful companies started up (mostly founded by Stanford alums) and the cluster started when employees split off to start new businesses. The idea that Intel's sucess made every computer entrepreneur want to relocate to the bay area is nonsense. Existing businesses brought in talent, which then went off and made new businesses, which brought in even more talent. Silicon Valley was an established high-tech business area long before the bubble.
[edit] Reverted
I do not see what you are doing here. If you are going to remove the redirect, you should revert the article, you do not blank it! --akc9000 (talk • contribs • count) 19:00, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
