Talk:Club Filter Melbourne
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
First of all, big apologies for making a series of errors here - I was composing the entry online, and not in sandbox, so speedy deletion got added before I finished the entry. Sorry about that!
Club Filter is (and was) Melbourne's longest running techno club, and had a lot of impact on the local scene there, on local producers and DJs, and brought many vital internationals to the city. You'll still see its influence cited on Aussie forum sites like In The Mix (http://www.inthemix.com.au) and Melbourne Beats (http://melbournebeats.com/) 4 years after the club closed.
I hope it's OK to leave as an entry on Wikipedia, but understand if you choose to delete it.
Respect, and apologies again, Nina
- Nina, thank you for stating your case for 'notability. It will be reviwed in due course. However as per the warnings on your talk page don not remove Speedy Deletion tags - as you have now recieved your final warning.-- Rehnn83 Talk 10:06, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank YOU! And so sorry about those speedy deletion tags - I had no idea what they were; I just thought that they were automatic pop-ups, amateur that I am!! Advice noted. Cheers!!!!
- Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. -- Rehnn83 Talk 13:28, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
...ah-hah... I see!!! Thank you again... Nina phunsta 15:49, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
I think even though Nina doesn't know about Wikipedia conventions sufficient has been done to show notability. I have asked Nina if the free text references can be changed to actual citations - if dates are added to the references already in this article then multiple, non-trivial, reliable secondary sources are provided and this is clearly a notable institution.Garrie 01:14, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks so much for the advice - I'll add these details shortly! Really appreciate the feedback! Nina phunsta 04:02, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Club Filter.jpg
Image:Club Filter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
