Club Social y Deportivo Xelajú Mario Camposeco, commonly known as Xelajú MC or just Xela is a Guatemalan professional football club that competes in the Liga Nacional, the country's top footballing division. It is located in Quetzaltenango, Department of Quetzaltenango, and plays its home matches in the Estadio Mario Camposeco.
The club was founded in 1928 as Germania; the name would be changed to Adix before the team finally settled on Xelajú M.C. in 1957. It is the most successful team (in terms of national titles won) not based in the capital city in the history of the league.
The team has been Guatemalan champion four times, first in 1961/62, again in 1980, a third time in 1995/96, and a fourth time in the 2006/07 season. Xelajú has won the Copa Centenario once, in 1972/73. In the 2007 Clausura tournament, it eliminated five-time defending champion Municipal in semifinals, to reach its first final since the inception of the Apertura/Clausura format. It faced Deportivo Marquense, losing the first match 0-1 and winning the second match 4-1, for a global score of 4-2 which gave it its fourth championship. It was the first time since 1980 that two teams from outside of Guatemala City finished first and runner-up.
