The Club Deportivo Universidad Católica del Ecuador is a soccer club based in Quito, Ecuador. Currently is playing on the first division (Serie A) of the national championship

It was originally founded as Liga Deportiva de la Universidad Católica once the team became Champion of the Interuniversitario in Guayaquil in 1962. It's first president was Doctor Manuel de Guzmán Polanco. By ministerial agreement number 947, of the 15 of May of 1963, the statutes of the club were approved. This is the legal foundation like institution. Amateur of Pichincha in 1963 participated in the championship.
