[edit] Re: True Tears

I would just recommend to make it as close as possible to how Air (visual novel) is now, since that's the most recent VN GA that has passed, and was one of the more rigorous too I might add. Also, you may need to argue the inclusion of the logo in the infobox. Other things to consider are things such as the red links. At WP:REDLINK it advises to create red links for articles likely to be made in the future, and the thing that pops out at me are how the red-linked people in the article probably won't get articles due to WP:BIO and WP:N concerns, so it'd probably be better to delink them. Also, I urge you to create articles for Comi Digi and GameCrab (if you intend this one to get an article, otherwise delink it); but definitely the magazine. The reception section is pretty sparse as well, and I can definitely see that coming up at GAN. I've been able to argue in the past that Japanese VN's don't get much coverage from reliable English sources, and there's hardly any good Japanese reviews to find that aren't in magazines that are largely inaccessible to us. But I don't think that's going to be working as well now, if Air's GAN was any indication. Bear in mind that I have been reminded in the past that not all articles on Wikipedia are able to get up to GA for lack of sources or other important information in the article, but I think True Tears has a shot at it. Try to get any more sources you can too, and maybe ask for a copyedit from an uninvolved editor.-- 07:21, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

My bad; I had no idea Comi Digi was just a previous incarnation of Comi Digi +; I was under the impression that Comi Digi + was a special edition version of Comi Digi. It turns out the magazine was originally published under a different name, and it was changed three times until it came to the current title, which I've found is not entirely uncommon. In this case, Comi Digi should just redirect to Comi Digi +; I'll do this, and add a note on the history at Comi Digi +.-- 07:54, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, Japanese publications are truly that confusing. Anyways, I've removed most of the redlinks, leaving only GameCrab which I will create in a moment. Also I am wondering if you think that the Plot and characters section would need any reference, since I can see that being a problem if one brings it up. -- クラウド668 08:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, it was brought up at the Air GAN, but I have argued in the past about plot and character info don't generally need cites, but {{cite video game}} will probably be recommended. If not that, citing the official character profiles helps I've found.-- 08:15, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I've started adding in references to the individual character profile pages, but seeing that it took up quite a percentage in the list of references below, I am wondering if you think I should just link to the main characters page. On the other hand I still am not able to find any reviews and such (and I don't think I'll be staying long enough for the PS2 version be out and grab a copy of Famitsu for its review, if it's gonna get reviewed). -- クラウド668 09:34, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, technically the main character listing is just a portal to go the other characters, and people who do not know these characters' faces won't be able to pick which of the characters they are trying to find info on if given just the portal link. Granted, the character image in the article does well for the five heroines, but what about the other six characters? Even if all the characters have romanizations of their names on their own character page, getting there should not be a guess-and-check issue for people who want ref confirmation. And what do you mean, that you're not going to be editing Wiki come 2 months from now?-- 10:25, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Nah, but more like, I doubt I'd be able to find a "professional" review if I miss that Famitsu issue. Speaking of reviews, I've found one after doing a google search, but looking at Air's GAN, it's probably gonna be crapped at.
On the other hand, I've asked _dk for help on copyediting, seeing that he's one of the more dedicated editors in WP:VN, and will probably be more familiar with visual novel articles. -- クラウド668 10:35, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Now I figured out what you mean, by staying long enough, I mean that I am going to Japan in a few weeks, lingering at Akiba and shopping for games, anime and manga (I might as well finally know if True Tears has ended if I pick up that bound volume).-- クラウド668 10:54, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh, so that's what you meant; have fun in Japan. : ) As for True Tears, I think the manga cover would be better since it's directly related to the game, and the anime is only related through it's name so it's not really an accurate depiction of what an adaptation is.-- 10:40, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
